A series of three book covers for the CCA’s “Makers of Modern” collection, each spotlighting a different architect and movement: Louis Sullivan’s Art Nouveau-influenced Chicago style, Richard Neutra’s Modernism, and Frank Gehry’s Deconstructivism. A bold color for each architect (blue, purple, green) and large-scale halftone shapes unify the system, with the shapes nodding to each signature aesthetic: organic circles for Sullivan, geometric cutouts for Neutra, and irregular polygons for Gehry. Architect quotes float across each cover, grounding the series in their individual voices while giving each one a distinct visual identity.
